Hello everyone my name is Matthew S. Robinson. What does the “S” stand for? I could tell you, but its a matter of national security that I don’t. I was born and spent the first 10 years of my life in Washington D.C. before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio. After high school I trekked my way to Malibu California where I spent time at Santa Monica College student and now am a Pepperdine University student.
Writing and film have always been passions of mine. Perhaps it was my family’s encouragement for me to pursue my dreams, maybe it was the fact one day I wanted to be rich enough to own my own private Island. I started Red Flag Movie Productions© when I was about 13 years old. Since then I’ve been writing scripts and making movies at a rapid pace.
At age 14 I created a 30 minute TV show for cable access called “Soap Box” about some teens who somehow inherit a failing soap company. Terrible wouldn’t even big to describe how awful this film was. But I kept going and after creating some films that actually got some critical recognition (Hard Plastic, The Car, Detective Rendezvous, The Adventures of Matthew Robinson) I actually am starting to feel like I know what I’m doing. Perhaps that’s why I made this blog. I want to start buckling down, and getting serious about my work. This is what I want to do with my life after all.
Anything else you need to know about me? Probably. But I’d like to keep myself a mystery in some respect, besides who knows what I’ll let slip in my blog. I’ll be talking about my films, my favorite movies, movies I hate, television, music, video games, projects, people just about anything under the sun. This blog was also created so you can keep up to date with my upcoming projects and find out where some of my other films will be playing near you. So in short my name is Matthew S. Robinson and I’m very excited to have you as a part of my blog!

Hey Matthew, I stumbled on your site while I was desperately searching for more info on a DC Soul group from the 70s called Rare Funk Ghetto…..I got a hit on the name from your site, and then saw the “Amy Joy & Rare Funk Ghetto” film that you are working on. From there I saw that you’d mentioned that it was based on your father’s teenage years in DC and I wondered if your father was in the group…Rare Funk Ghetto Band! I’m a Washington DC resident, and I’ve been documenting DC and MD area soul & related groups from the 60s and 70s for many years now, and my main project is a book on those groups. If you can help me in any way, and if I’m not way off base, please contact me at the included email address. Thanks a ton!
Thanks for liking my interview at http://justrichar.de/2011/07/25/interview-jessica-buike-twin-rivers-author/#comment-120 . Please feel free to download the book – if I knew how to write a screenplay, I would totally turn it into a movie!
Who knows maybe I can help you with that.

Thank you in advance for understanding my momentary intrusion.
I am a Literary Strategist and I have a collective of really great authors, a few of whom would love to be on a Blog Talk Radio. I am seeking to develop long-term
relationships with Blog Talk Radio hosts who tend to be very author friendly so that from time to time I can acknowledge an interest a particular client has in being
interviewed.
One current example that I feel might fit well with your show: James Bailey | Honor O’Flynn – A Search for the True Will of God.
